Over the last 12 months a small team of Hub volunteers have worked long hours to upgrade The Waverton Hub website. It was time for the Hub to move to a site that provided better management of membership data, and to make it easier for members to join activities and events. It was necessary to streamline our joining and renewal process and our accounts. It was also necessary to find a system that would enable members to take control of their accounts and their bookings. We look forward to working with you on making this new website an important part of the Hub in offering support to the local community to stay healthy and active.

Search for Member Jungle (this logo) load the app and enter in Waverton Hub! 

You will already have received an email informing you of our new website and new system.
It is powered by a software system called Member Jungle, an all-in-one membership and event management system developed for clubs that are run mainly by volunteers. The company is based in Newcastle, NSW.
The system is web based and can also be accessed by an app, called Member Jungle, that you can download.
You can view the new website wavertonhub.com.au without logging in. You do need to log in if you wish to view member-only events, update your details, or register for events - do this now!
If you decide not to log in you will not receive invitations to Hub events, or notifications or reminders about Hub activities.

What to do if you are having difficulty logging in to the website

We are more than happy to provide guidance and support if you are having difficulty logging in. It takes effort for Barbara, Nelly and MaryLyn to arrange events and add them to the website. It takes time for others to register for you.
If you are currently booking on Trybooking for classes you should not have any problems logging in to the Waverton Hub website.

Please take the time to log in - it will reduce the workload of Nelly, Barbara, Carol and MaryLyn and will be much appreciated. 

 It was a concise explanation on the progress of the changes to the Expressway between the Bridge and Cammeray golf course, with many questions put to and answered by the presenter. Hub member John Medcalf has put together this summary

1: Very good graphics portrayed the work being undertaken.The traffic flow routes were all colour coded, this helped explain the system’s complexity.

2: An update using the graphics showed tunnel entry points, pedestrian and traffic bridges, overpasses and a dedicated bus route from Cammeray to the Harbour Bridge.

3: A video demonstrated the manner in which "major" works were undertaken during the Xmas /New Year holiday period. Works requiring possible traffic disruptions were scheduled at night.

4: An explanation of traffic flows was presented showing the proposed changes with emphasis on the entry and exit points for the harbour tunnel connections, clearly demonstrating the exit point to North Sydney.

5: A completion target suggested was 2027.

Janet Carding had the audience fascinated as she revealed the work the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust was doing on various sites around the Harbour. 

Janet concentrated on sites some of the Hubbers have visited on their walks. Here are a few of the highlights.

1. The Sydney Sub Base Platypus at Neutral Bay which is virtually finished.The Trust has converted the old Torpedo Factory into a space for markets and events and kept as much of the history as possible in turning the area into a park and community space.

2. At Middle Head the Trust has created a network of trails and roads that link Middle Head with Balmoral Beach - this is ongoing.

3. At North Head North Fort, which is a remnant military complex at the north entrance to Sydney Harbour, has been opened to the public as 'Defence of Sydney Tour', an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the men and women who served at North Fort. 

4. Cockatoo Island is only at the beginning of its development as a place to explore the former convict gaol and shipyard. Now a World Heritage site, work has already been done opening up the tunnels and creating a walk that follows the old tramlines. More ferries now stop there and we were shown amazing plans for the future.
