Handel's Messiah at the Concourse
First performed in Dublin in 1742 and beloved ever since, the Messiah is set to English texts from the King James Bible and the Coverdale Psalter, is renowned for its beauty, drama, and timeless “Hallelujah” chorus.
Traditionally performed around Advent, Messiah celebrates the anticipation of the arrival of Jesus and has become one of Handel’s most enduring and inspiring works.
Peter Ellis will conduct the Willoughby Symphony Choir with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. The choir includes members of the Hub.
