The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest celebration for people over 60 in the Southern Hemisphere, and in 2026, it’s coming to our doorstep from 2 – 15 March.

The Crows Nest Centre will be a key local hub for the festivities, offering a vibrant program designed to inspire creativity and community connection. 

Local Highlights at Crows Nest Centre:

  • Community Celebrations: Look forward to special events, including workshops and social gatherings that embrace the "Live Life in Colour" spirit. Events have been organised for each day of the Festival at the Crows Nest Centre.
    There will also be a series of talks in the evenings on health and wellness, local history, our environment, dementia and photography. For details drop into the centre at 2 Ernest Place or check the website 
  • Social Connectivity: The centre continues its tradition of providing a welcoming space for seniors to share meals, stories, and new experiences.
  • Wider Festival Events:
    • The Seniors Expo: Held at ICC Sydney on 11 – 12 March—a perfect day trip from Waverton.
    • Comedy Shows: Bringing laughter to the Sydney Town Hall on 3 March.
    • Premier’s Gala Concerts: Featuring spectacular performances at Darling Harbour on 11 – 12 March

How to get involved:

The NSW Seniors Festival Expo 2026 will be held at the International Convention Centre, Sydney (ICC) in Hall 3 on Wednesday 11 March 2026 from 9 am to 4 pm and on Thursday 12 March 2026 from 9 am to 3 pm. 

The expo is a wonderful event for seniors to engage with businesses, community groups, the NSW and Federal Governments and associations to remain active in the community and access information services that promote healthy ageing. 

The event also encourages seniors to enjoy new hands-on and interactive experiences and stay connected with their local community.

Tickets are not required to attend this free event.
