01st September 2026
Find out about whether an EV is right for you

Thinking of switching to an electric vehicle? Join us to hear from Rod Sharples of EnergyZE North Shore, a not-for-profit group of Ku-ring-gai residents working with their community to reduce emissions, transition to renewable energy, and protect biodiversity.

Rod will cover the practical questions you may be asking before making the move to an EV, including:

  • How does Australia compare internationally in the transition to electric vehicles?
  • How much does an EV really cost to run?
  • What are your options — buying new, leasing or buying second-hand?
  • What do you need to know about charging at home and on the road?
  • What if you live in a unit or apartment?
  • What are the facts behind some of the common myths about EVs?

There will also be plenty of time for questions, so bring along anything you've been wondering about electric vehicles.
