For many members the time has come to renew membership of The Hub - thank you to everyone who has already done so. 
If you have not yet renewed, we hope you will continue to be part of the community and look forward to receiving your renewal shortly.
Renewals are now done online, and it is very easy. You simply go to the website and log in with your email address. If you need help, ask another member of the Hub or email us.

The Hub Afternoon Tea on June 17

Many members braved the chilly weather to get together with fellow Hubbers at the Members' Afternoon Tea on June 17. Hub social events are a wonderful way to get to know those you don't see in your regular activities. It was great to be able to introduce new members to others.  You will find many more photos in the Gallery on the Website or the App.
It is thanks to a small team of dedicated workers that events such as the Afternoon Tea happen, especially Karen Elliott, Hub Events Manager; Barbara Caine, Activities Coordinator; Nelly Wong, Treasurer. The food at the afternoon tea was provided by Stephanie formerly of Bayview.

Our next Event is Christmas in July - on July 25 of course. This is to replace the Members' Dinner.

The Waverton Hub app is another way to renew your membership and to  find out what is happening. The tiger icon (picture on left) is what to look for in the App store.

On the right is what the App looks like on Carol's iphone. The app will look very similar on your phone and you will be able to keep in touch with the Hub wherever you are.

In May the Hub invited Dr Mandy Ellis to speak on Family violence, elder abuse and coercive control. Dr Ellis revealed a side of this issue that not many had thought about and gave an insight into the enormity of the problem. If you missed this talk you can read it on the Hub website. Click here

In June the Cyber Security talk had many hubbers asking questions about internet security and what they could do to avoid scams. Speaker Nasim Eslam had a number of strategies people could adopt to avoid the pitfalls. This talk is also on the website. Click here

Christmas in July - July 25 at The Greens
The Events Committee has arranged for the Hub to have a table at The Greens for Christmas in July.
There is very limited seating so you will need to book early for a place. For more details and to book Click Here.

August Men's Dinner August 20 6.00pm
Enjoy a meal with men from the Hub at Le Coq and Fish.
A convivial night where the menfolk get together.

This time its the turn of the ladies to take over Le Coq and Fish for a lunchtime get-together.
