Healthy Ageing Resources
Active and Healthy
This is the NSW Government website providing information for older Australians. Using this website you can find helpful information and exercise programs to support healthy ageing for people living in NSW.
Getting started is often the hardest part. If you have a friend or partner you can work with this can make it easier.
The website includes a page of simple ways you can start and stick to an exercise routine.
You also have the opportunity to speak to a free personal health coach. Click here.
Healthy ageing resources provides free online learning and home-based exercises.
Included in the resources are online quizzes, online exercise circuits for beginners with videos, fact sheets and an activity manual and logbook.
Staying Fit
The Hub offers a range of exercise classes for members. These classes are very popular and frequently book up quickly at the beginning of each term - we run on a four term year. If you miss out you can send an inquiry, but generally it is best to wait for an email from the Hub which will advise you if there are any free places.
At the beginning of each all classes are available to all members.
Meanwhile you can check out Uniting Seniors Gym: Health Services
Over 60 and looking to stay active? Whether you want to prevent, treat, or manage a chronic condition—or simply keep fit in a fun, supportive environment this could be for you.
The team of exercise professionals will work alongside you to create a personalised plan tailored to your unique goals. Plus, if you ever can’t make it to a face-to-face class, there are online gym classes so you never miss a beat.
